This vision was established by the philanthropic couple Col. Prof. Vel. Dr. R. Rangarajan, Founder Chancellor & President and Dr. Sagunthala Rangarajan, Foundress President who founded these educational Institutions consisting of a Deemed to be University offering programmes in Engineering, Management, Media and Law, three Engineering Colleges affiliated to Anna University, an Arts and Science College affiliated to Madras University and Matriculation schools at Avadi, Chennai . There has been distinctive progress since it’s founding in 1997 and has been appreciated with many accreditations and has been recognized by many International rankings of repute.
Foundress President Dr. Sagunthala Rangarajan, a medical practitioner herself had envisioned to start a Medical University to educate students to be medical and para medical graduates who would be experts in the field of medicine. Passionate on this vision, Veltech University Andhra Pradesh Owned by RS Trust was started at Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh. The prime objective is to provide quality medical education to every student who joins the University who would become competent, compassionate and carrying physicians for patients in need.
This programme is designed to raise professional who will assist in administration and monitoring of anesthesia with extensive knowledge of anesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology. Trained technicians are thus in high demand in this line of specialization are mainly employed by anesthesia departments or operating theatre suites, areas of clinical practice of emergency departments, intensive care units (ICU) and day surgery clinics.
Scope: anesthetist in Government hospitals, private hospitals and super specialty centers, anesthetist consultant, etc.,
Aspiring candidates can apply for the programme. The programme is designed to prepare students to administer haemo-dialysis treatments for patients with renal failure, under supervision of physician. The programme imparts essential instruction to enrolled students in basic anatomy and physiology, dialysis preparation, dialysis prescription interpretation, extracorporeal circuit, dialyzer setup and maintenance, patient preparation, equipment monitoring, venepuncture and local anaesthesia administration, taking vital signs, documentation and communication, safety and sanitation, emergency interventions, and professional standards and ethics.
Scope: arenal dialysis technician in Government hospitals, private hospitals and super specialty centers, and also can have own renal dialysis center etc.,
This is an allied programme in medicine. Cardiac technology is an area of specialization to train students in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) conditions, preparing patients for open-heart surgery, implanting pacemakers, monitoring patients during these procedures, performing cardiac stress tests and electrocardiograms. The job of a technician is to perform tasks that require less medical training before and during the procedure so doctors can focus on the results of the test.Proficiency in knowing ECG, ECHO, TMT, 24hrs voltaren and provide cath lab assistance in angioplasty, ASD,VSD etc.
Scope: cardiovascular technologist, medical sonographer, dialysis technician, nephrologist technician, etc
Students learning this programme will get highly –advanced skills in interpreting and diagnosing medical imaging, are called radiologists. Assisted by technicians, radiologists use mammography, x-ray, MRI, fluoroscopy, and CT scans to identify illness and disease.
Scope: Radiologist in Diagnostic, genitourinary, cardiovascular, emergency, radiation, gastrointestinal, neurology, and pediatric etc.,
